Skoppe Calculator Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Skoppe Calculator, provided by Skoppe LLC (“Skoppe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the app, you agree to these Terms.
1. Informational, estimating, and planning use
Skoppe Calculator provides calculation tools, material estimates, layout tools, conversions, and related results for informational, estimating, and planning purposes only.
2. Construction & Calculation Disclaimer
Results may vary based on user inputs, measurement accuracy, product specifications, packaging, cutting and waste, site conditions, installation methods, manufacturer instructions, local building codes, engineering requirements, trade practices, rounding, and other project-specific factors.
You are responsible for independently verifying measurements, quantities, calculations, material requirements, and applicable code or professional requirements before relying on results. Verify relevant information before purchasing materials, submitting a bid or estimate, entering a contract, cutting or installing materials, performing construction work, or making safety, structural, or code-compliance decisions.
Skoppe Calculator is not a substitute for a licensed architect, engineer, surveyor, code official, attorney, qualified contractor, manufacturer, or other professional where professional review is required or appropriate.
Material quantities are estimates and actual quantities may be higher or lower. The app does not warrant that calculations or estimates are error-free, suitable for a particular project, or compliant with applicable laws, codes, standards, manufacturer requirements, or project specifications.
3. No professional or code-compliance advice
Skoppe Calculator does not provide architectural, engineering, legal, code-compliance, safety, or other professional advice. The app does not determine whether a design, measurement, stair configuration, structural condition, material quantity, or construction method complies with applicable codes, regulations, manufacturer instructions, or safety requirements. Obtain qualified professional review when it is required or appropriate.
4. User inputs and verification before purchase or work
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of information you enter. Incorrect or incomplete inputs may produce incorrect or unsuitable results. Independently verify measurements, calculations, material requirements, product specifications, and project conditions before purchasing materials or performing work.
5. Construction safety
Construction work can involve significant risks. Skoppe Calculator does not provide jobsite safety instructions and is not a substitute for required safety practices, manufacturer instructions, training, engineering review, or professional judgment.
6. Warranty disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skoppe Calculator is provided “as is” and “as available.” Skoppe LLC disclaims express and implied warranties, including warranties that calculations will be error-free, estimates will match field conditions, results will suit a particular project, quantities will match supplier packaging or actual usage, the app will satisfy a code or standard, or the app will be uninterrupted or free of software defects.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Skoppe LLC and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to use of Skoppe Calculator. This includes losses related to measurements, calculation errors, material shortages or overages, wasted materials, construction errors, rework, project delays, bidding or pricing decisions, code violations, property damage, or reliance on app results.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
8. Intellectual property
Skoppe Calculator, including its software, branding, design, text, and other content, is owned by or licensed to Skoppe LLC and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
9. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, reverse engineer it except where applicable law expressly permits, or use it in violation of applicable law.
10. Third-party services
Your device, app store, operating system, and sharing applications may be provided by third parties and are subject to their own terms and policies. When you choose the native Share action, selected information may be handled by the third-party app or service you select.
11. Updates and termination
We may update the app or these Terms from time to time. Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the app or features where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
13. Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the maximum extent permitted by law.
